The National Trail office is looking for volunteers to help maintain the Thames Path.
There are two ways of volunteering. One way is to assist with maintenance and improvements to the Path. Tasks include vegetation clearance, installation and repair of signs, gates and bridges and some workshop tasks. The National Trail are currently recruiting monitors for the section between Source and Oxford.
Another way is to serve as a monitor. Volunteers monitors adopt a 2-3 mile section of a Trail, walk it once a month and report back any problems such as overhanging branches, bank erosion, encroaching vegetation etc.
For more information please check the Thames Path National Trail website. Help keep the Path clear for those who want to Walk the Thames.
