One of the worst eyesores whilst walking the Thames Path is to be finally demolished.
Didcot Power Station, which was decommissioned in 2013 and was once voted Britain’s worst eyesore, has already been partly demolished. The remaining chimneys will be demolished on 9 February 2020.
Four people died when the boiler houses were destroyed in 2016.
The site is currently being redeveloped into warehousing, retail and housing.
The power station is most visible when walking between Abingdon and Dorchester.
