There is now only one flood warning on the river: at Shiplake and Wargrave. Environment Agency update repeated below:
“Property flooding remains possible. River levels are high on the River Thames as a result of sustained heavy rainfall last week. Therefore flooding of low lying properties close to the river is still possible, especially in the Bolney Road and Basmore Lane areas. River levels have continued to fall slowly overnight into this morning 26/12/19 but will remain high over the next few days. Levels will be responsive to further rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation. The forecast for today boxing day (26/12/19) and overnight is for isolated showers followed by a dry clear day tomorrow (27/12/19). Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings, avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.”
