Around Cricklade and Lechlade:
River levels are high and responsive to further rainfall on the River Thames. Therefore, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths and roads is expected overnight. We are expecting persistent and at times heavy rainfall to continue this morning (20/12/19), followed by heavy showers from this afternoon through to Saturday morning (21/12/19). We therefore expect river levels to rise further over the coming days and into the early part of next week. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in the area clearing weed/trash screens.
Around Oxford:
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high on the Thames and are increasing slowly in response to recent rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths and roads is expected to continue, especially in the Botley and Wolvercote areas. We are expecting persistent and at times heavy rainfall to continue this morning (20/12/19), followed by heavy showers from this afternoon through to Saturday morning (21/12/19). We therefore expect river levels to rise further over the coming days and into the early part of next week. We are closely monitoring the situation. Around Abingdon:
River levels are high but steady on the River Thames. Therefore, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths and roads is expected to continue, particularly in the Abingdon and Culham areas. We are expecting persistent and at times heavy rainfall to continue this morning (20/12/19), followed by heavy showers from this afternoon through to Saturday morning (21/12/19). Between Dorchster and Goring:

Between Purley and Sonning (including Reading)

Shiplake and Wargrave:
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high on the River Thames in the Shiplake and Wargrave area as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying roads and farmland is expected to continue today, 20/12/19. Persistent and at times heavy rainfall is expected to continue this morning, and further showers are forecast this afternoon and overnight with the potential to be heavy at times. Around Henley:
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high on the River Thames in the Henley, Renmenham, Medmenham and its tributaries area, follwing recent heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying roads and farmland is expected to continue today, 20/12/19. Persistent and at times heavy rainfall is expected to continue this morning, and further showers are forecast this afternoon and overnight with the potential to be heavy at times. Between Hurley and Cookham
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high on the River Thames from Hurley to Cookham as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying roads and farmland is expected to continue today, 20/12/19. Persistent and at times heavy rainfall is expected to continue this morning, and further showers are forecast this afternoon and overnight with the potential to be heavy at times. Between Chertsey and Hampton
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high on the River Thames between Shepperton and Molesey as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying roads and farmland is expected to continue today 20/12/19. Persistent and at times heavy rainfall is expected to continue this morning, and further showers are forecast this afternoon and overnight with the potential to be heavy at times.
