There are a number of organised Thames Path walking events. One of these is the Thames Path Challenge where registration has been extended until 28 February 2020.
The Thames Path Challenge is an overnight 100km walking event starting in Putney and finishing in Henley. It takes place on the weekend of 22/23 September.
Other less challenging options are available including:
- the same 100km route but with an overnight camp
- completing half of the route either to or from Runnymede
- completing any of the 4 quarters of the route, the quarter points being Hampton, Runnymede and Cookham
- The Thames Bridge Trek of 25km and 16 London bridges from Putney to Tower Bridge
It’s a big event with about 3,000 competitors.
The main event leaves Putney on the Saturday morning. There are 9 refreshment stops and meals are provided after 28km, 50km and 78km.
Baggage and transport services are also available.
Undoubtedly it will be busy if you Walk the Thames that weekend!
We will keep you informed of other Thames Path walking events.
